The next concern I had was in the notes it states: 'For long term driving applications where continious run times exceed 30 minutes and fuel capacity is less then 10 gallons, Aeromotive recommends the installation of a pump voltage control module, Aeromotive p/n 16302.'ДЄnyone know what that is all about? Is it applicable for our use? Is there a reliable way to add a fuel tap connection into the bottom of a plastic fuel tank? If so, instead of heating a pickup,I suppose I could stick an alluminum coil of coolant in the tank near the sump fuel tap. Since this is with the assumption of gasoline or alchohol use, I can only imagine that Veg. When using a pickup, you should maintain at least 1/2 tank of fuel in vehicle at all times, to avoid possible engine and/or fuel pump damage.' Installing a high flow pickup instead of resevoir style sump may shorten the fuel pump life and cause driveability problems.

If you choose not to install a resevoir style sump, you must install a high flow capacity fuel pickup. The installation notes state: 'If you are using a stock fuel tank, install a reservoir style sump in the bottom rear of the tank. After reading the installation notes on the A1000 I have some concerns. (They had all three in stock and price matched the web prices posted here /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif )ДЄnyway, for now I had planned on using a 1/2' or so heated pickup tube that I was going to build to use in a OEM plastic dakota fuel tank I had laying around (16 gallon). I just picked up an Aeromotive A1000 (PN 11101), Aeromotive 100 Micron filter (PN 12304) to go before the pump, and a Mallory 4305M regulator from jegs.
